The inaugural Holston Cup was recently contested, with the team of Todd Miller and Greg Boehling taking home the title. Miller and Boehling racked up 31 ½ points in the fishing competition to overtake 1st-day leaders Jeff Brighton and Brian Midura.
In the annual Tough Man tournament, players were faced with difficult conditions and some tricky hole locations. Congratulations to this year’s winners, Brent Lawrence in the Gross division, and Bob Quillen in the Net division.
Mike McCool shot rounds of 74-72 to win this year’s Men’s Club Championship with Brent Lawrence finishing runner-up. The victory was Mike’s third Club Championship title, to go along with his wins in 2015 and 2020. With a clutch two-putt par on the 2nd hole of the Shootout, the team of Richard Woolwine and Chris Hanson claimed this year’s Member-Member Tournament title. The team of Greg Horrigan and Craig Clough won this year’s Senior Member-Guest. Dr. Richard Sander and Mike Nixon won their flight and made it to the Shootout on the 19th hole, before Horrigan-Clough claimed the title with a 2-putt par.
Newly appointed General Steve Harville and his Blue team took down the Gray, 45-37, in this year’s Blue-Gray Tournament.
Mike McCool took this year’s title with a 1-under par 26, beating out Dr. Bill Shumaker and Randy Sharrow by one stroke.
